NSW Liquor & Gaming undertake alcohol delivery compliance sting

A recent undercover operation by Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW) found some same day alcohol delivery drivers did not perform mandatory ID checks when delivering alcohol to inspectors.  
   
The operation took place at a rented property in Darlinghurst, where L&GNSW inspectors placed orders for alcohol delivery to monitor compliance with ID and self-exclusion requirements. The operation found that all providers tested had effective self-exclusion processes in place, but some delivery contractors did not check identification, including one instance where a bottle was handed out a car window.
