This afternoon MGA TMA attended the Queensland Small Business Commissioner’s roundtable. The following information for small business disaster assistance has been released. MGA TMA continues to stand with our members during this unprecedented disaster.

The link also includes mental health and wellbeing support, and recovery and rebuilding support following a natural disaster. Check your eligibility for essential services safety reconnection (ESSR) if you are uninsured and have experienced certain loss or damage to electricity, gas, water, sewerage or septic systems as a result of this disaster, and low-interest loans for small businesses facing clean-up.

Unprecedented flooding is occurring in Queensland and Northern NSW, with major flood warnings still in place. Tragically, the death tally has reached 7 whilst 2 individuals are reported missing. MGA TMA stands with our QLD and NSW members during this difficult time and our Employment Law team is here to support members with any employment-related queries, including those relating to stand-downs and absences.
The Federal and QLD Governments have announced financial assistance for members affected by the recent floods in South East Queensland. You may be eligible for a lump-sum payment. Please click the button for more information or call Services Australia on 180 22 66.
