Victorian Liquor Licence Changes
MGA recently advised members on the changes to the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 (LCR Act) that commenced on the 15 March 2022, whether the requirement for packaged liquor licensees (and other relevant licence holders) to notify the VGCCC of their intent to supply liquor via online orders, also extended to licensees supplying liquor via other methods, such as mail or telephone orders.
Many members rang queering whether, as their current licence conditions allow them to supply liquor via telephone, fax or by mail if they were required to register with the VGCCC.
We have now received information from the VGCCC confirming that packaged liquor retailers only need to register with the VGCCC if they are supplying liquor via an online website platform.
